We have metal plates and we drop them.
It's just a matter of investing in a proper lifting area with proper flooring, aka concrete with rubber on top.
"Rubber gyms" as I call them is just for show, for tiktak and silly social media, real gyms have metal plates.

Why are you not deadlifting in a platform? Bumpers or iron/steel would only be dropped on a platform. As for the ringing…. Well…. Let’s just say that’s kind of the point. It’s an animalistic lift. Ain’t nothing more animalistic that the sound of crashing metal and the natural deadlifting sound we all make under strain.
