Is Sahara Desert The Largest Desert on Earth?

Antarctica is the largest desert on Earth with an area of 14 Million km sq. It's a cold desert, with very summers and very cold winters. It has very little snow or rain on the continent. The ice can be more than 4 km thick in some places holding ~70 percent of the Earth’s fresh water.

Whenever we think about the deserts we think of sand, dust and hot temperature, but that's not true. Sahara is the third largest desert on Earth with an area of 9 Million km square.

Dessert is a category that's why they put Antarctica in a different category because its cold which is the opposite of the dessert and scientists prefer to spilt all region climates into category which means technically that Antarctica doesn't count as a dessert as its not in the category or fit for it
