That BMW brings back (not so) fond memories of driving my E34 project car home 3 hours on the interstate, with the same exhaust “setup” lol. My ears were ringing for 3 days afterwards!

I would get the bmw e46 for 425 that's cheap sounds good threw some new exhaust on it and a front bumper then get a macco paint job and window tint and she be a nice car

Is it possible that the damage to the BMW X5 crushed the wiring loom or something? Might explained it being totalled and the dodgy electrics?

My brother put 463, 000 miles on a Kia Spectra with a manual transmission. He does deliveries, the air conditioning, power steering, and power windows were working when he gave it away to someone needing a car. He was religious about changing fluids, filters, and he drives carefully.

The BMW on a lift is a service reminder. It has about 7 different reminders that automatically activate like oil, spark plugs, brake pads, sir filter, and the car on the lift is the service reminder which is like a full check up which is done at I can't remember like 60 or 70 thousand miles or something high like that. So those are just reminders so they can get reset easily with the odometer reset button with the key in the acc position. You can Google the process. It's pretty easy. I used to reset my own cuz I used to do by own services on all my beemers. Also the windshield wipers isn't broken. The battery was low and the wiper stock is designed to stay in one place so when you push it down to intermittent, it comes back up so you think it's off but it's still on. It you push it down twice and it goes in show and three times goes on high. If you want to turn it off you have to push it up the same amount of times that you pushed it down it push up 3 to 4 times and it will definitely turn off.

And the windows probably have a bad matter switch on the driver's door. BUT first check fuses because the front switches are all on the same fuses with the front window switch and the mirrors

E46 would be a good build.. and with it been a AWD I never known them to be AWD but be good to see it built and used through winter ❄️
