Interview with Cormac Russell

Nurture Development Managing Director, Cormac Russell, gives an overview of Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) and sets out the implications of such an approach for how local government could respond positively to the fact of people living longer.

This interview links with the final meeting of a high profile Task and Finish Group, led by the Local Government Association (LGA). The session took place in February 2015, and participants explored the challenges and opportunities that an ageing population presents for local government, now and over the next 20-30 years.
