Announcing the long-awaited vinyl reissue of our fifth album, Head First, out November 2021. Originally released back in March 2010, the vinyl has been out of print for many years and is reissued here as a transparent magenta vinyl pressing in a gatefold sleeve, with an exclusive art print of the original artwork.

The song was released on 7 June 2010 as the album's second single and became Goldfrapp's fifth single to top the Hot Dance Club Songs chart in the United States.

I still don't understand how Goldfrapp didn't get the same recognition as other artists. She was before Gaga, but just as talented & yet she didn't take off in the same way.

I bought the "Head First" CD over a decade ago when it was first released. Having listened to "Alive" many, many times since then, the song has never made me think of Goths and vampires doing aerobics... until now. 😲

I missed this one in it's debut release, it's a great pop song!, good choreography. In the U.S. artists like her sort of fall through the cracks, even if it's aired on college radio they don't get played a lot.
