Using Ink Bleeds to Create Texture and Landscape Effects

This process creates an interesting range of values.Here, I demonstrate how to use the ink bleed technique to create all over texture and landscape effects. In this case, I want to use the painting to collage onto another drawing. You will need waterproof black India Ink, water, and both a large and small brush.
This method is experimental, and it is difficult to control the results. With practice, you will become more familiar with how the ink will behave on a wet surface.
Once the ink is dry, you can work back into it with any dry media, or more ink.
This is a wet-on-wet technique. It should be practiced on thick paper on a level, horizontal surface. Stay away from the edges of the paper to contain the chaos. Have fun!
