This is awesome. I’ve been binge watching! There are so many terms throughout the videos that would be helpful to learn. Things like ‘burning through the veneer’ and what does that look like and what to do. Or what to do with bubbling laminate, what does dripping look like, what does ‘tannin’ or ‘a bleeder’ mean? I guess a big ‘vocabulary’ video 💛💛💛

I appreciate that you’re so transparent about cost vs selling price. I’d like to see you mention how much time you have invested in a piece. This is a key factor in determining profitability. Of course you’ll be MUCH faster than us newbies, but it’s important to understand what we might expect after we’ve developed skills.

Please! For those folks like me who can’t “not see it”, would you please put an outlet cover on that outlet behind where you work in the back? It’s killing me🤣🤣 Love to watch.

Thank you for doing a basics video along with essential starter tools to use! I am considering flipping furniture and am trying to learn what all I need to drive in headfirst.

...Another great piece by you, Lauren. I just have a curiosity question. Why didn't you scuff sand between coats like you usually do? Is it because of the type of paint that you used? Just wondering for learning purposes. Thanks. :D

You've inspired me and I've started my own flipping journey a couple weeks ago! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! ❤️

Can you please do a video on how to take care of the INSIDE of drawers? I haven't found much content on that anywhere (other than using furniture balm) and I'd love to know your thoughts on things to look out for - what levels of wear are repairable and how to take care of it, etc. Thank you!

Do you think to add paint you could use a paint roller for painting and then go back over it in more detail with a brush? I'm trying to get started.

Help! For those of you who are much more experienced. Sanding down the vaneer kitchen table and the water stain spots and rings are still Showing . Options ?? What can I do? I’m afraid if I stain it will just accentuate this more.

What is the material of this nightstand? It doesn’t look like wood, it looks like a finish on it with the white and gold. I’m wondering what makes you decide to sand all the way to the bare wood versus this where you just scuffed it? Aside from the end result look you’re going for, is the base material your deciding factor? I hope these questions make sense! Love this completed look of this nightstand!

I understand it came with another piece of furniture. But for $30, you add in let’s say 3 hrs minimum work with sanding and painting at a low rate of $20 per hour and your at $60 of hourly, paint cost and initial buy cost of $30. Total profit of $10.

I get it’s a learning video tool as well. But the cost shouldn’t come down because you gained two pieces for the price of one. You gotta raise your margins and make less friends. Business is still business and if I did this all day I would make $30 a day.

I’m sure you’re making money somewhere but it was lost here if you ask me. People don’t understand time and effort and don’t understand cost of sandpaper or machines especially since sometimes machines break.

Thanks so much for this very helpful video. I'm the family catch-all for unwanted furniture. I love my Mom dearly but her taste ran to French provincial, so that's what I grew up with. And I can't stand it. So I've got these two matching end tables and as curvy ornate as they are, I'm hoping the right paint job might make them more appealing to me. The hardware is very ornate as well, but it's good quality and I hate to toss it. I'm thinking of going with a mid range sort of grayish blue for the table and I'd like to paint the hardware maybe a pewter color? Can you recommend a good paint for transforming metal drawer hardware? Thanks again, appreciate it!

I love the look of wallpaper in the outsides if the drawers as well as lining the drawer. It gives a pop ro the whole piece.

Out of curiosity, is there a reason you used a brush instead of a small roller? Thank you for this video btw, I’m trying to start flipping furniture and this makes it seem a lot less overwhelming!

I’m learning from watching your videos a lot but… you forgot to sand in between coats 😅

Not a fan of the pink, prefer the rich colors you usually use.

Why did you use a brush? Seems like it would take more time than a paint sprayer.

If my piece is really shiny what grit of sandpaper should I use?
