Fashion shows use to be so fun and frolicsome. Nowadays they have come to more resemble travelers huddled together at the airport exhausted after waiting hours for a delayed flight. Spectators and performer alike seem equally drained of emotion evidenced by endless blank stares, humorless expressions, demeanors suggestive of a vague irritation with something, all topped off by an exhaustion brought on by boredom and anxiety. Can't understand it other than as part of the general infiltration of art with reality.
