Somehow a generation of Americans have been convinced that free speech is only valid if its "true". Facts are always in dispute. Source reliability for proving or disproving a "fact" are often at odds. The truth is that most people who have opinions actually know little about the facts that support their beliefs. This is exactly why free speech is so important. Its value exsist in a person having to defend why they believe in something in the face of opposing opinions support by other facts. The best course is to listen to others who disagree with you with an open mind and make sure you are well educated before forming ridged opinions.
