If we are in a simulation, I have a bone to pick with the programmers

Well I have a glitch where everytime I try to make a good decision something bad happens

Boy those programmers better hope we don’t meet face to face one day

Whoever’s playing my character definitely didn’t know about the difficulty

We are all playing Roy right now and we dont know it.

I think the whole concept of us even considering living in a simulation shows how disconnected we have become with life itself.

The problem with this hypothesis is that it's based on a ton of assumptions about what is actually possible.

That explains why I always see a random text saying “Clementine will remember that” every time I make a bad decision

The universe age is some number we can't really define with 100% confidence and this is 1 universe, imagine what the greater possibilities of systems out there that have had more time to iterate in the universe.

If we hypothetically consider this opinion, there must be a very wise, powerful creator of this simulation .

Many people who believe we might be living in a simulation underestimate the immense computing power that would be required to run such a simulation. Consider the sheer complexity and scale of reality - countless events and processes are occurring simultaneously across the Earth alone, without any glitches or interruptions. The level of detail and precision needed to simulate this flawlessly is staggering.

To put it into perspective, we would need a computer capable of processing an astronomical amount of data in real-time, far beyond anything we can currently imagine. It would have to account for every atom, every subatomic particle, and every quantum interaction across the entire simulated universe. The computational requirements would be virtually infinite.

Given the limitations of our current understanding of physics and computing, it seems highly unlikely that we will ever reach a point where we can create a simulation as vast and complex as the reality we experience. The idea of our universe being a simulation may be an intriguing thought experiment, but when we consider the practical implications and the sheer scale of what would be required, it becomes clear that it is not a feasible explanation for our existence.

Nope we are NOT in a simulation stay grounded people

No matter what story you have, it still leads to a creator. Just remember that.

The problem is that despite our consistent improvement in game design, we have made absolutely zero improvement in terms of understanding consciousness. Where it comes from, how it works, whether it’s material or abstract, etc.

we can get as good as we want at simulating reality, we will never be able to simulate a consciousness, because going about that with a computer is impossible. For example, if you imagine a triangle, you can see the triangle in your mind. If I cut your mind open, will I find a triangle? No. Where is it? How did you see something that doesn’t exist? Neuron pathways? That means there’s an infinite number of pathways since we can imagine a practically infinite amount of things? How would one even try programming infinite pathways?

Due to the existence of consciousness and abstract entities such as thoughts, dreams, and emotion, we can be almost certain that we are not, in fact, in a simulation. This guy just really likes computers
