Sir Keir Starmer is delivering a speech in the West Midlands as he sets the tone ahead of the Budget on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister is expected to promise that the Budget will “ignore the populist chorus of easy answers”, with Rachel Reeves, the Chancellor, due to announce a series of tax hikes.

St Two-teir Starmer keeps banging on about 'working people', but according to the Secretary of State for Education, Bridget Phillipson MP on BBC TV yesterday in conversation with Laura Kuenssberg, the only concrete example of 'working people' she could come up with were people like herself MPs.
So, there we have it, the UKs entire nation of working people comes to at most the 635 MPs elected on the 4th July 2024, and no doubt even that comes with caveats, surely we can expect that only good old Labour MPs are included, but Conservative MPs will probably, not unexpectedly be excluded, on what grounds one can only speculate.
