Russian Nixie Tube Clock

Показать описание
This is the 3rd nixie clock I've built. It uses an Atmel Attiny461 that keeps track of time via a DS1307 using a 32.768kHz crystal and communicating through I2C. The HV is generated using a boost converter circuit driven by the AtTiny that receives feedback through a voltage divider.

There are 2 channels of LEDs (blue and pink) that turn on every couple minutes. They are controlled by a timer and PWM'd with values using a sine wave table.

Hello You are hearing from an absolute dinosaur of the modern electronic age. I am a retired electronics engineer who was active in electronics when nixie tubes were the newest gen of display elements. Your posts online are very interesting to me and am enjoying greatly. Keep up the grand work as your projects give me many things to do with my spare time. Thank you
