Hi there from a Granny in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 I wonder if you have heard of Gypsy tart? It was often served years ago as a school lunch dessert in UK. You take one can of evaporated milk (14oz/400g) and add 12oz/350g of dark muscovado sugar in a large bowl and use hand mixer to whisk for 12-18 minutes - it will become a light soft coffee coloured mousse. Pour into a precooked 10”/25cm pastry case and bake for 10minutes in an oven heated to 400°F/200°C. Leave it to cool completely and set, serve cold. I would serve it with whipped or pouring cream, with no sugar added, as the tart is very sweet - an occasional indulgence. You can also make a set mousse using evaporated whipped the way you have done and then whip into it a jelly (jello in US) which has been made up with only half a pint of water. Use any flavour you like and put in fridge to set.

I can't thank you enough for this recipe. 3 ingredients, very easy to prepare and l have tasted it when l put it in the fridge 😋🤗 l did whisk for the full 7 minutes and the volume was amazing. I got 7 1/2 very large glass fulls. Friends for lunch tomorrow and this is their dessert. Do you do a coffee mousse, that's light and fluffy like the lemon mousse?

That’s how I used to make ice cream for my kids when we lived in Africa and no ice cream was available. Just substitute the condensed milk for I cup sugar. Method is the same, then freeze. 2 hours later it’s ready! Very ‘healthy’ as no additives but sugar of course. But this recipe made 1 litre of ice cream

Evaporated milk won't get fluffy like that when you whisk it maybe whipping cream will do but ur desert is amazing, I'm looking forward for homemade ice cream pls share that
