I’m an idiot. On remeasuring, the stock shock is 310mm between top and bottom mounts!

It's official now ... you bought a new rear suspension for your motorcycle it's like the wedding proposal ring.💍💘🥰😍

I have a nc700s 2013, bought a YSS rear shock as taking pillions on it with the standard shock is bottoming out, really bad. The new shock really changed the bike, very happy with it.

Enjoyed watching you on the tools. Never changed a rear shock before so quite interesting. 👍🏍

This video gave me the confidence to change my rear shock on my 2012 nc700x today. I'm at 46, 000 U.S. miles. On a recent ride it started feeling strange on bumpy roads. I'm assuming the damper gave out. Too grimy to tell if it was leaking. So I bought what looked to me a gently used oem shock off ebay. $60 U.S. (I'm on a real strict budget) Pulling up side panel etc to get at the top bolt is very similar to the 750. My test ride was positive. Thanks.

Have fitted the YSS rear shock & the front fork upgrade kit ( PD valves etc ) Must say what a difference to the handling of the bike. Top job . Have a good day.

You left us hanging for part 2!. It definitely looks a lot less crashy now. Goodjob as ever! Good to see you had the sense to write the figures down unlike some idiots😂

Hi. First post for me on your channel. Fantastic content. I wish I had just a speck of your skills 😁. Love it when you make your own solutions or improvements. I just bought a 2021 dct. The original owner did a lot of good mods and one of them is a remote preload adjuster similar to the one you are installing on this video. This is the fiest time I don’t have to use a c spanner on my bike, so i was wondering if you could help me out please. The adjuster doesn’t click like others i’ve seen do. You measure the amount of preload with a 1 to 5 scale etched or printed on it. So my question is: it it normal that as you add preload it becomes considerably harder to turn the adjustment knob? It goes easy down to 2-2.5, but then it gets very hard and it stops between 3.5 and 4. I hope that made sense 😅. Thank you very much

Great video - thanks for sharing. Looking forward to your ride report!
I actually took the day off work today to replace the shocks and struts in my car. This video was some nice motivation for my work today while having my morning coffee.

This has really hit home as I was considering what to do about that awful rear shock. Really enjoyed the video with my morning cuppa. Thanks very much!

It's very interesting to see the suspension in action and to jump to the conclusions! Looking forward for part 2! Nice video and good working job! Greetings 👍

Recently orderer my rear shock from YSS (not the one you're mounting here). I think I willl mount it by myself. Your voice transmits me calm and peace. When I am mounting something always some stuff go wrong or I dont have the correct tools and I have to use anything and starting to blaspheme. The nc700x is an excellent bike with a seat directly from hell and a stock rear shock from Lego. I think it' cannot handle the weight of the bike and a passenger near 1, 80m and beyond 100kg for some years.
