That’s amazing! I didn’t know anything like that existed. Incredible!

I feel like this is a perfect example of how to maximize food yield by thoroughly understanding the Cause and Effect of environmental factors on a plant. If mapped correctly, you can even use AI on the data to predict how your crop will do at the end of the year, input the weather data for the week and it'll give you prompts on when to effectively water, feed, or whatever else you might need.

Cool, but ideally they'd also be paired w software that auto made adjustments based on previous data collected.

Knowing the data is great, but the analysis of it is just another big job when managing a farm.

This is so cool. People who are really serious about improving their homestead would really benefit from this.

this would be so good if you can hook it up to local weather systems and have a fully data backed irrigation system. I know others have done it but not quite to this level of detail.

Automation is already plural, no need to call multiple instances of automation automationS.

I have a basic InkBird duo of humidity and temperature sensors. Keeps mould and heat stress at bay by turning on ventilation and activating dehumidifiers. Or the opposite, if need be.

About time someone does backyard farming like a technology company f the old ways this dude does what i am too lazy to do and because im working on a mobile cabin for hunters that will clean your body become your bed with a built in ac and heat and a mf tv its like a pod that can be moved by ev bikes

way over the top for most people. this kind of thing would only be worth it if you made money from your garden. the average person isn't going to subscribe and pay decent money and go to all the trouble of installation and sit down often enough to even out the ongoing cost of something like this.

That tech is the opposite of what I want in my backyard

I love technology, but there come a time when you need to let nature do its thing and stop trying to modify it, or twick it to perform to do morr then if can. You still have no clue about the dmage or long term effect and impact you have when you keep messing with it. There are entire eco systems that have taken millions of years to evolve around in its complexity to give us food and resource.
The vegetable that we buy at supermarkets have been altered to the point you can't taste real food anymore and even the plants in your video look like lab rats struggling to get out of their cages.
Sprayed with pesticides, mofified with crispr, added colors or hormones, just so that they can be visually appealing is not condusive to a healthy population. Istead of having community gardens and teaching peaople how to grow things or allow nature to provide healthy soil and food with clean water you want to always comercialze and monitize by pushibg it to its limits.

Or.... learn how to grow without technology. I respect and understand what you're doing. But... it's a form of gentrification of agriculture. For thousands of years indigenous cultures optimized yields without the need for electronic data.

If you look at the pricing of the components and the system as a whole, it's obvious that no small-scale farmer could justify the expense. Well, maybe "weed" farmers could.

Other than that, this is simply a tech toy to spark the imagination of millennials and zoomers, who just believe whatever sounds high tech and forward thinking.

Us Gen-z and boomers are still waiting on the jet-packs popular mechanics and other tech magazines of our day, said would be common place by the turn of the century. So, we know what BS smells like. I'm also very disappointed that my car doesn't fly and work like a submarine.
