When I'm studying, I prefer to read slower compared to my normal reading speed in order to comprehend what I'm reading. Reading fast isn't as important as comprehension if you're actually studying the material given (and most of the time, it's better to scan and highlight the important bits rather than read fast and retain nothing).

I’m trying not to get tired while reading this science book and I have tried these and they work. idk if anyone else does this but when I’m reading books I read it like how I would read it out loud to a class(I’m not a teacher just comparing), except in my head. i stopped doing that when I wasn’t that interested because I could fully understand without doing it. it’s kind of like if you have captions on, you can read what they’re about to say and stuff. honestly I don’t know why I felt the need to write this nobody cares.

These are really great tips I've used...for better, I would like to add something....if you get an audiobook of the topic under your syllabus, it's great to listen to it while reading... because the audiobooks are being played faster and less chances to get distracted...it really works for me...
