I'm renting this car right now, and I like it a lot. It's main virtue is that it feels planted on the road, not wobbly. Steady at highway speeds. Lots of room and good features. I don't know if it's a reliable power train, but if it was, I would be happy with this car for a long time. The Chevy bow ties though are a little clumsy looking. The chevy logo doesn't work well in a modern sedan like this.

I had the privilege of driving one of these, an LT, as a long term rental. What a sweet car. luxurious, nimble, surefooted, spacious and plenty of zoom. I got 35 mpg mostly on expressways. I had no idea this was a turbo, sure didn't feel like one. Plus the CVT is not only well matched to the engine, but one of the finest CVTs I've ever experienced. Wireless Android car play worked well enough but could be better integrated into the Nav/entertainment system. That being said, its far superior to what's in my Genesis (almost unusable).
Road and wind noise from the rear was evident. Not up to the quality of the rest of this car. I am so impressed that I'm hunting around on TruCar, CarEdge, etc to see what's out there.

Drove one for 3 mos. Economical, peeidictable handling. I just hate the front double grille and interior with boring instrumentation. Better put a 2.5 L NA.

I have a 2016 Malibu it and I had a chance to upgrade to a 2021 malibu. Same body style same everything only a higher price
