"Royalteen: Princess Margrethe" is a magical film: a sequel that stands on its own and stands separate from the original "Royalteen." It's a sequel that makes the original film even better. It's a sequel where I want to watch it again, or both movies again, and I can't decide which one I want to watch first, again.

It's a sequel that does something else magical: it approaches Princess Margrethe with respect and addresses her on her own terms, not overlooking her faults, no: but allowing her to see her faults, and their consequences, and allows her, and her family, a measure of dignity by having to deal with them head-on, and not disneying them away.

In the end, Princess Margrethe realizes she's not cool, nor better than, nor even equal to her peers or the task at hand of being Princess Margrethe: she's not qualified to be what everybody wants her to be, 'everybody' includes herself. But she is the one thing she, and only she, can be: herself, ... flawed, imperfect, a touch sad, but her. And she can't do 'her' alone, not anymore. She needs her friends and their love, like they need her.

And there's just a sliver of hope in that, and that's what makes her radiant.

God, I love this film.

Ok so the first movie was pretty good especially the shocking end 👏 👏 👏 and DONT mind watching the next season but I have to admit that my ❤ belongs to Young Royals 🥰.
