'I'm not a dream Clara...'
MERRY CHRISTMAS METRO! I promised you a Clamy video for your Christmas and here it is! I hope you like it. I actually had this ready to go before you posted your wish list but I was waiting 'til I finished you second present.
So this video originally had a one sentence storyline but as usual my brain kept running with it so now it's a massive freaking story all by itself. (And yes my brain wants to fic this one too but shh. Maybe if we don't tell it, it will stay asleep on the issue for now). Due to this the video as it turns out isn't strictly linear but should still make sense. Full storyline is below.

STORYLINE:
Clara is infected by an alien virus one day while looking after Angie and Artie. She begins to feel dizzy and takes the two home. After dropping the two off and going to her own home, she begins to feel worse. She decides to try to sleep but collapses onto her bed and falls into a coma. While lost she dreams about a red headed girl. She realises that her job in these dreams is to save this girl and keep her safe.
However, Clara isn't dreaming. Her soul is being splintered and scattered across time by the virus, and every time an echo dies, the real Clara grows weaker. She is being drawn to Amy, having leant against the TARDIS earlier in the day by pure luck, who is subconsciously taking the Doctor and Amy to Clara's echoes or drawing Clara to them.
It starts from afar at first, with Amy never seeing Clara's first sacrifice as she prevents an alien spaceship from destroying the TARDIS. (0:52-0:55) She sees her briefly the second time as Clara steers her away from danger in an alien maze. (0:48-0:52) They meet briefly again in a house and just as Amy tries to question Clara she disappears. (0:29-0:35) Amy starts to think she's hallucinating the girl.
However they meet properly on their fourth encounter and connect but Clara is quickly ripped away again from a devastated Amy. (0:16-0:22) Amy thinks it's her fault since Clara saved her.
Amy is surprised, however when she meets Clara again on a submarine frozen in the snow. (0:36-0:40/0:22-0:29) Amy asks Clara questions which she answers as she leads Amy out of the sub. Amy is confused by some of Clara's answers and gets distracted. She doesn't see the creature until it's too late. Clara saves her again. Amy doesn't want to leave, but Clara tells her to go. "It's my job." Amy doesn't understand but the sub starts to sink and she runs. She tells the Doctor all about Clara, who has always been conveniently missing from these encounters. The Doctor thinks she must have imagined it but agrees to run scans on her and for this Clara.
However, on their next planet visit, he believes as he meets Clara for himself. Their meeting is brief as the planet is attacked by Cybermen. (0:55-1:14) He and Amy try to get Clara with them onto the TARDIS, but when the Cybermen try to go for Amy, Clara distracts them. Amy tries to go after her, but the Doctor pulls her away. Clara tells the Doctor to get Amy to safety and attacks the Cybermen who easily overpower her. The Doctor pulls Amy into the TARDIS and locks the door. Amy tries to stop him, but he tells her he can find Clara if she just trusts him. She does.
Their seventh and final encounter takes them to a graveyard. (0:41-0:48) Amy is terrified until she sees the brunette standing by a grave. Amy approaches her while the Doctor scans her. He tells Amy she's another echo but he can get the real one now. He goes back into the TARDIS while Amy calls to Clara. Clara turns and Amy's heart clenches. Clara is pale and looks weak, the virus having nearly taken her life force. Clara smiles sadly at Amy.
"I wish you weren't a dream."
"I'm not a dream Clara..."
"But you have to be... the hero always gets the girl in the end..."
Amy is confused as Clara isn't making much sense, especially when she says that "she is coming". Amy tries to get Clara to explain, but Clara just utters a sad "goodbye" and then in the blink of an eye disappears, her image replaced with a Weeping Angel. Amy calls to the Doctor who tells Amy to get in the TARDIS. He's found Clara.
The Doctor sets a course and places his screwdriver into t
he console, using it to amplify the TARDIS sound to wake up Clara. (1:14-1:35) His plan works and Clara wakes, confused and weak. She hears a knock at the door and rushes down stairs as best she can. She throws it open only to see a very real Amy. The two are overjoyed and moved to tears. The Doctor finds the source of Clara's virus, and with Amy's help, nurses the sick girl back to health. The Doctor sees how taken Amy is with Clara and quickly invites her to join them. Clara readily accepts and joins their adventures though time and space.
