A young man (Harold Lloyd) moves to New York City in order to make enough money to support his devoted girlfriend (Mildred Davis), but soon learns that making it in the big city is tougher than it looks. When he finds out that a store manager will pay $1,000 to anyone who can attract people to his store, he convinces his friend (Bill Strother) to ascend the building and split the profit with him. But when his pal finds himself in trouble with the law, he must complete the terrifying stunt on his own.
