In September 2014, the FAA implemented new flight paths aimed at improving safety and efficiency. This in turn increased air traffic in our neighborhoods and affected people’s quality of life.

After the city of Phoenix and the Historic Neighborhoods filed a lawsuit against the FAA, the Federal Court ordered the FAA to temporarily revert to 2014 flight paths and develop new routes through a public feedback and community outreach process. On this segment of Phoenix 2020, Councilman Nowakowski provides a quick update of the FAA Flight Paths and when residents can expect the changes to be made.
