I really like the fact that even when the series reveal he's gay, he doesn't necessarily have to be in love with one of his male friends. I feel like that situation would only make everything feel like fanservice, and being gay is not something to please people. Him being gay doesn't immediately mean we are gonna get some romantic scenes, maybe in other seasons, but I'm still happy that they just took the concept like something normal and didn't explode it at all.

don’t get me wrong, i love shows with the storyline’s that are a lot about someone’s sexuality, but it’s refreshing to see a show casually slip in a coming out scene and then move on without anything really changing. and also the fact that kai literally doesn’t care that he’s gay, he’s just offended that no one tells him stuff

This scene, and how he so blatantly says it, when many shows won't actually say the word "gay", gives me some hope for society.

I love how they handled him being gay, like he’s the guy with the power of super strength, that breaks the stereotypes of gay men. Also his being gay wasn’t mentioned through out the season and I enjoyed that. Also in the opening scene of this episode I believe, you could see a gay pride flag hung up in his room.

I love how nonchalant the whole scene was. Like, it was just a statement, but it held so much simply because it's such a rare thing to hear in media nowadays without being overplayed or stereotyped. It feels like healthy portrayal. Too often being gay is used as a 'haha funny' trope and the character is just a walking thereotype for the sake of punchlines, but this show took itself seriously and I can really appreciate that.
