Comics tried to make a different version of Lobo, like a complete revamp of the character. What they made was the complete opposite of the main man. He was righteous, Lobo wasn't his name cause it was a title reserved for a planet or race destroyer, his planet's king was a madman poisoning the people, an in trying to stop the mad king he ended up wiping out his entire race on accident and in his escape he gave himself the title of Lobo. I could be wrong in some parts of that because it's been a few years since I looked at it, but I think we can all agree that we all prefer this Lobo compared to the revamp
