I've seen these reviewed on another channel a month ago. I was intrigued then, and I still am. I like that the light is bright and defused, and mounted to the back of a large monitor, 34" 3440x1440 like mine, could possibly be used to help reduce eye strain when gaming or watching movies in a dark room. If I were to buy them, it would be for that reason. Good review, Thanks.

I own a Phillips ambilight TV and it makes a huge difference to the film atmosphere and reduce eye strain when all of the lights are out.

Would you get LS100 or Phillips Hue Gaming kit

Most of the demo videos (including yours) show a white wall behind the monitor. Is that a requirement? I realize white will reflect the colors better, but repainting adds more $$$ to the price and is not always possible.

Not expensive at all when you consider a few things.
1. It is diffused light, the strips your comparing them to are not diffused.
2. The strip you compared it to has less leds than even the 250mm LS100.
3. The strip your comparing it to won't have ique software and link with any other rgb device that is corsair.

Expensive? I'm just not seeing it.

I like your take on this. It is quite expensive. That being said, a 16 ft strand of ws2812b, its controller, and a AC adapter (all of which are sold separately) adds up to roughly $65/£50. Taking into account that the ws2812b's accompanying software is usually garbage, and comes with little to no support or warranty, that 90 pounds sounds less intimidating, especially if you already have iCue devices that you can sync it with.

This light strip is very bright. Is there use for me to spend on rgb fan, rgb ram or the brightness of this light strip is make them not so notice?

Yo mate, I can't seem to get this to work in ambient mode any ideas? when i put it in video mode i just get a solid white light that doesn't change. Also don't see any gaming mode but I don't know if that just comes under video mode. cheers

these look more durable and re-usable than the normal thin little normal RGB strips...

Poor pricing choice Corsair. I would buy them if they were actually reasonably priced because syncing with all my other stuff using icue would be nice but not worth that much. I'll settle for more basic rgb strips.
