It’s not illegal to possess alcohol in a dry county, it’s illegal to sell it. One of my biggest problems with dry counties is that it pushes people to travel to a wet county, get drunk, and drive long distance back to the dry county where they live. My parents live in a dry county and that’s always a worry of mine is encountering one of those long range drunk drivers on a dark country road. Anyway, this story is bunk, you can have beer you bought elsewhere in a wet county but drink it on your property in a dry county. Most drinkers who live in a dry county have a big stockpile since running out is a pain.
