I struggle to switch to my crystals that fast so o just hit them with my crystals and then I can crystal them

This is not a hit crystal. This is actually called a D tap because you’re placing the obsidian before hit crystalling a normal hit. Crystal is whenever you do the exact same thing, but with without placing the obsidian, but instead of placing the crystal on a pre-placed obsidian.
