AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi speaks on the verdict given by SC on the demonetisation. The Supreme Court today upheld the 2016 demonetisation move by the Centre with one judge differing from the verdict. Other Opposition leaders like the Congress party have also questioned the verdict. Senior leader P. Chidambaram tweeted that ' it is necessary to point out that the majority has not upheld the wisdom of the decision; nor has the majority concluded that the stated objectives were achieved. I think the issue at hand in court was whether the correct procedure was followed and the Court merely said Yes. Whether Demonetization was right or wrong was not the issue before the Court. It is an issue before the Parliament and here also the decision was upheld by the Parliament- never mind the cost.
