Anyone know how you turn down the brightness on the infotainment screen?

I have a problem where after I park up the display never goes off. Even with keys out. Radio etc is still on and I can navigate through the settings menu? Is this normal?

Engine malfunction warning appears and then clears only to happen again 10 seconds later has an audible beep so is really annoying when on motorways

Why would you put menu to check oil right at the bottom when it has to be checked daily. Dutch engineering amazes me
