A moving rendition of a traditional Bosnian folk song. Breathing as one musician, Novosel and Boukas navigate through a series of contrasting textures while embellishing the melody freely. From the Duo's acclaimed CD/DVD "Live at St. Michael's, New York City".

This isn't Bosnian song. Lyrics are written by Jovan Jovanović Zmaj, a Serbian romantic poet. The style of playing and form are those of Starogradska (Old town) style, popular during late XIX and early XX in Vojvodina. Melancholic tone indeed gives impression of sevdalinka, a style popular in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Of course, sevdalinka influenced Stargoradska due numerous migrations over Balkan nad general popularity of sevdalinka across Balkans. Anyway, great interpretation.
