Getting back to work on the 1965 Dodge Coronet. In this video I install the trunk weatherstripping, gas tank, license plate holder, and rear bumper! It’s definitely beginning to look like a car again, and 1/3 of the way back to driving again. @TheTazzman1968

Looking good and you have done it up with the bumper also, adjusted and all the bolt holes lined up and bolts in top notch. Do you know how many people would just leave it out. Perfectly done.

Just a fyi, the torque on the U bolts are not as much as some people think. My 1972 Dodge was 45 lbs. The car is looking great Joe!

Been watching LB Bruins making that spacer for you. Called the Air Claw 1. That's a hefty chunk of metal that he's going to whittle down. !!! That'll be interesting to see what kind of extra power that'll give. 👍

Looks good it really turned out nice. ! The only time I busted out the torque wrench is on head, rod and crank bolts . The rest is by feel .
But I still think you should practice on my car . Lol 😂

Looks like the bumper had one of the cheap trailer hitches, the kind that bolted to the center of the bumper only. Yes it was a dumb idea.

Algorithm boost!
Perhaps you might enjoy following along as I get my late father's 1958 Plymouth Suburban back on the road.

Great video Joe! It’s the weirdest thing I just did exactly this with my gas tank install two weeks ago on my Coronet. I even used red grease for the filler neck lol. My wife was laughing at the similarities of what we were doing on the same your car. What are the chances? I’m putting an electric fuel pump on mine. I had to do a return line because of my holly blue, I tig welded a bung on my filler neck for a return line. I regret not using that pad that you you purchased I didn’t know they still made them. I ended up using leather from my cushion. Anyways great video Joe can’t wait to see the coronet when it’s done! Are you putting that 400 in it?
