TRANSCRIPT:

My name's Wade and I'm one of the directors of Doughnotts.

We've got the three stores - Nottingham, Derby and Leicester. We have got a new store opening in Nottingham in the next two months. As soon as that happens then we're going to go for Lincoln as well.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR STRATEGY FOR BUILDING A STRONG INSTAGRAM PRESENCE?
So #Instagram was just posting every day, it was talking back to customers, sharing customers photos. We have a very, very 'Instagramable' product. Instagram was made for this.

HOW ARE YOU DEVELOPING YOUR STORE CONCEPT?
We are changing our concept of in-store. So with the new store that's opening in Nottingham, there's going to be an in-store bakery so you're going to be able to come in and see a baker making donuts there and then. That's the new concept, because the concept of the stores has changed three times now. So it was a takeaway which was this, there was a sit-in place which was Derby, then it was Leicester, it was like, 'right we need to go back to a takeaway,' and then now it's like, 'right, in store bakery, let's have a coffee shop, let's be who we want to be.'

WHAT CAN LARGER HOSPITALITY OPERATORS LEARN FROM DOUGHNOTTS?
I just think they need to just understand their customers more, they need to listen. We take on suggestions - it's important because it's just what the customers want.
