Surface DUO 2 Unboxing and a trip down Windows Phone Memory Lane

Finally after many years of running iOS, I'm back using a Microsoft Phone, but this time it's running Android and has 2 screens!!?

I took the plunge and ordered the Surface Duo 2! Will I like it? Will I keep it? only time will tell.

I liked how the iPhone almost fell off the desk when you opened the SD2 and turned it on. Very symbolic!

Welcome back to MS and thanks for the video. Good choice here, also with the protection plan. Your glacier SD2 looks awesome. The iPhone is great for basic needs, but the SD and SD2 are so much different and more.

Wider makes sense for writing and reading, more space. Camera bump is hard to avoid. Yes, it could have been smaller, but cameras would have been worse.

There is a learning curve. Once primary screen is selected the secondary gets disabled .

Still trying to figure out how I'm going to get a Duo2 authorized by management.
I'm hoping that recently buying her an iPhone 13 Pro will help :)

Your flipping and tapping would have all work as you expected on the Surface Duo, but not here on the SD2. No, no, these are not bugs. Instead, the SD2 was designed to only use the RHS screen when in phone mode (folded back). As long as you member this (and avoid trying to force it to do otherwise), then you won't have trouble. They did this GUI change for good reasons. It is normally best to use the RHS screen in phone mode and this design change leads to greater reliability for what users normally want to do. That is the logic.
