Denon HEOS - Review and Tutorial

In this video we introduce you to Denon's HEOS, or Home Entertainment Operating System, and give you a breakdown of how to use it.

The HEOS app allows you to control music through your entire house from your smartphone or tablet. What makes HEOS so unique is that it allows you to create multiple listening zones throughout your house. You can listen to multiple songs or combine zones into a party mode and play the same song through all the speakers. HEOS also allows you to adjust the volume from the app so you can control the level in every room.

Heos is solid. Get a great wifi router (mesh) and you shouldn't have any issues. I've had great luck for the last 4 years. My review iovers from 2-5 stars over the years.

I have a HEOS system in my home. I set it up many years ago and have been adding speakers over time. When it works it sounds great! I put the system on a NetGear router and have a good signal throughout my house. That being said I find that I have to reset the router, IpAd, and speakers frequently. Often times I can not group speakers and other times they just loose communications to the router. The speakers show up in the router menu as not communicating. I ran cables in the basement to connect each speaker and that worked until mice chewed threw my cables. I am going to run new network cables in above the ceilings. Great system when it works.

I have a denon avr with HEOS. I have a front left, right, center and sub wire connected to the AVR. Can I use HEOS to connect 2 wireless speakers as surround rears for a 5.1 HT setup

Do you know how I get YouTube music to play via HEOS? I have successfully linked HEOS to Google Home but can't work out how to get YouTube to play on my new Marantz system. Amazon Prime Music was no problem as it was on the HEOS menu.

I have an error when i try to turn on and off Denon x1600h AVR with Google Assistant: Sorry, looks like that device hasn't been set up yet. How i solve this problem?

why would a named zone just disappear? what do you do just add it back in and hit the reconnect on back of the speaker because my patio speakers are mounted kind of high up on the patio wall. any imput?

HEOS Question. Do I have to have HEOS speakers? I am buying the Denon DRA 800 H because I do not want a ton of wires or gear in my small room. Gonna run wired speakers Hersey IV, will the HEOS app manage the music from my Android phone will the receiver accept or read the phone and play the music from my Amazon Music Acct?

Great video! I have 2 questions.
- is it possible to control the system with more than 1 device (my iPhone and my wife iPhone)? How it works?
- I have a Denon receiver and turntable. Is it possible to listen the turntable in all HEOS devices placed in the house?

I am thinking to purchase Denon PMA-150H. Does it can connect to HEOS speakers in wireless way? In that way, the HEOS speakers and be used as surround speakers. IS that possible?

Great Vid with a lot of infos most vids don't show in such detail. Is it possible to play the Cable TV sound the AVR gets over (e)ARC simultaniously on the AVR and on an Heos speaker or can you only use inputs the heos app includes?

At 3:32, you showed that your Home Theater AVR has 3 zones set up. So HEOS can detect that your AVR has 3 zones? Did you have to configure your AVR in certain way? And what model of AVR is it? Thanks

Any ideas I can not connect HEOS mobile app to my Denon X4800, I got an account on AV Receiver but not connect to mobile app :(

Holaa, tengo un AVR 2310 con 5 altavoces + subwoofer y estoy mirando de comprar un Denon Heos link Hs2 y 3 Denon home 250, se pueden escuchar a la vez los altavoces del home cinema y los Heos, es decir, pongo musica a traves de la tv y la escucharia simultaneamente en todos los altavoces o tengo que elegir entre el home cinema y Heos. HEOS has lots of connection issues with my marantz avr. Sometimes it works good and some days is has problems connecting. Marantz tech support is unable to resolve. Poor system.
