The thing that made fortnite fun in 2017 was the fact that BR was still relatively new in 2017. The thought of being the last man standing made each encounter heartpounding. Biggest of all though, NO ONE KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. No one was cranking 90s or building skyscrapers the second they saw you. The game isn't the only thing that changed, the players changed too. You can roll back the in game mechanics all you want but you will NEVER be able to recreate what players felt back then.
