Sometimes, superhero costumes can be re-disgned to update their look for a more modern aesthetic. Other times, those re-disgns can be completely terrible and best left forgotten... so let's count 'em down! Here are the worst superhero costume blunders in the history of comics.

The worst part about Susan Storm's costume is that she put it on literally to get her husband's (and anyone's) attention because she felt like she was being ignored. And I love Reed's one line that summarizes it perfectly.
"W-What is wrong with you, Susan?!"

Azrael's batsuit was a commentary on over-the-top 90s comic book edginess

Invisible Woman is always put on these lists, but everyone fails to mention that she was possessed by Malice at the time and the costume reflected the change in personality. The costume was out of character for Susan Storm, but that was kinda the point.

Armored DD was a good costume, it fit within the story at the time. One of my fav alternates actually & it just makes more sense to have SOME type of body armor if you're fighting crime in New York @ 2am

I think the azrael suit works within its context. It's was supposed to be a 90's update to batman, and nothing is more 90's than that suit. Also the wings on his legs are representative of the wings the abrahamic God of death Azrael has.

Flashpoint Zatanna looked like Nancy from the craft!

The Zatanna costume in the alternate Flashverse was based on what Charlotte Pendragon would wear at the time so it actually does have some connection to her normal attire, in that rather than being a normal magician outfit it's a sexy 90s magician outfit.

The New 52 and Rebirth versions of Red Robin's costume are absolute stinkers, imo

I'll say this much about the costume changes for the Trinity (Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman):

I don't mind Azreal's Batman suit as I do think it looked kinda cool and I like that it help distinguish Bruce Wayne from Azreal while he took over the mantle.

I quite like the look of Superman Red and Blue, I think it's an interesting concept that could make an excellent story, not the one we got but this one, splitting Superman into his good half (Blue) and his bad half (Red)

As to the Wonder Woman one, I do think that could work for another character, but it's not Wonder Woman, it looks nothing like Wonder Woman, it's not Wonder Woman, Wonder Girl or Artemis and the design looks awful, I do think another character might be able to make it work, but certainly not Wonder Woman.
