Hogue RSK 20CV retest, did it improve or is it the same thing after 14 sharpenings? Now that I've used this a lot and put many edges on it I ran the test again to see. How is your RSK if you have one?

This comment is not on topic but I want to let you know. I retested my S110V Manix after watching your video again. With straight cuts on my very hard juniper it was excellent but after putting hard side loads on it like in your test it developed a couple of small chips. Very hard to see but I could feel them with my nail and it took going to the stones to get rid of them.
Keep up the good work. You contribute a great deal to the community, making us much better and more knowledgeable consumers and collectors.

Honestly, the performance is OK enough that I would still recommend it compared to a Griptilian/Freek because of the fit and finish and support for knife rights for every sale. The 20-40 bucks more you spend over its immediate competition is spent well, in my opinion. I wish they didn't mess up the heat treat but the RSK/Mini RSK is still one of my favorites.

The action on my mini is my favorite of all my knives! Smooth!

Love my RSK! It's one of the few knives in the collection I can confidently use at work. If I'm not carrying the Zaan or Mudd, it's the RSK. Nice vid as always!

I like Ritter knives. Disappointed in the results of that particular knife. I’ve actually been a little unhappy with everything I have in m390.
Thanks for doing he testing. It can’t be that much fun but it’s appreciated.

Spot on brother, same thing with my RSK. Great knife but disappointing edge retention.

I don't see any knife on the market that compares in value to the Ritter Hogue. It's just nutz good

Thanks for the legwork, I have a few Ritters (forever will redub them Critters )based on your test, but I have been using my mini mostly and have had nice edge retention..such a bummer that 20cv/m390 can and usually is such a downer considering the potential..yeah I wont go out of my way to get any production knife in these steels-again thank you for saving me $$$ and time, Hogue please make a red g10/Cruwear RSK

It sucks that they can’t get the heat treat dialed in because I really want to like the RSK especially with the Knife Rights aspect!! Thanks as always for sharing brother!!👊👊

I have been looking at that knife for a while and it looks very similar to the BM Freek which is one of my fav knives but with 20cv but hadnt pulled the trigger

My Houge RSK feels really solid, maybe I got a good one. I trust you and you are an expert compared to most people. Have you tried to do a test at like a 6-800 grit? Sometimes I’ve seen many steels that preform better at higher grits. Some Steels love that aggressive edge. I’d be curious to see if performance improves.

I’m curious how the Benchmade Ritter grip in m390 would perform compared to the Hogue Ritter in 20CV?

I have the Hogue RSK from when it was in M390. Do we know if Hogue's M390 heat treat is equivalent to their 20CV? I'm not sure exactly when they switched these to 20CV, but i think it was sometime around when the mini RSK came out. I think i have one of the first batches of the mini RSK and it is in 20CV. I haven't done any controlled testing on my RSKs.
