March 22, 1988. An alcoholic thrown out of my house and living in an apartment. So depressed tried suicide and couldn't even do that right. Got a six pack and sat in my car and listened to the album this song was on till the beer was gone and listened to this song again. Went in and took a shower and got got cleaned up and admitted myself to a treatment center. Was in for 30 days and haven't had a drink since. My life is so much better than it has ever been. This song remains one of my favorites. I turned 70 May 1 of 2015
