please help me here

at 4:00pm a flask of sterile broth is inoculated with 10000 bacterial cells
at 9:00 pm the log phase culture had a population of approximately 41million cells .CAlCULATE THE NUMBER OF GENERATIONS AND THE GENERATION TIME

Great video! 👍 What is the generation time of h. pylori?

I don't know how grateful can I be to you. What do you do when you just have OD values from measurement in microtiter plates? The OD of the bacterias I am using are normally 0, 286 after 10x diluted. I diluted 20x more (2 x10) Then I inoculated the plate with 100 ul of the stock in 100 ul media. The stock continues to be diluted until 10^-7. And I get a CFU/ml normally 10^9. But I don't really have an initial number of bacteria. Just the first OD which was 10x diluted.

If one starts with 10000 cells in a culture that has a generation time of 2 hrs, how many cells will be in the culture after 24 hrs

From the following data calculate the mean generation time. At the beginning of exponential growth when the t=0 Initial cell concentration=2500per ml .At time t=8hrs cell concentration=10000per ml

Please provide the sources of the formula and derivation. I want to cite them in my research paper.

The time required for bacteria to duplicate was recorded before and after mutation therapy. Observations were carried out on 15 different strains of bacteria. Apply t-test and find out whether the mutation therapy have effect on generation time.
Before treatment generation time 19, 22, 17, 19, 15, 25, 24, 22, 28, 23, 19, 25, 24, 23, 18
After treatment generation time 18, 14, 23, 25, 17, 16, 15, 21, 15, 12, 22, 18, 19, 24, 20

How can we calculate generation time or number of bacterial colonies at the end of a given time using calculus(integration)?

@7:45 it should be 10^7 for Nt. Check your math . G should then equal 12 minutes
