In this video I review the #Presonus #PD70 #podcast #microphone. How does this dynamic microphone compare the the Shure SM7B? I also turn on the de-esser and deep tone settings on the Mixcast 4 in order to enhance the microphone's overall sound.

The microphone has a similar sound on my voice as the RODE ProCaster. Does the Presonus PD-70 use the same microphone capsule as the RODE ProCaster?

I like the sound and price of this mic. You can even switch the foam windshield for the Shure RK345 to really kill off those plosives. This is top of my list to purchase a new mic but I'm hoping for the samson Q9x to release and impress ASAP before a make my next purchase.

I have the Shure MV7 as my main mic, with the PD70 as my guest mics. I love the sound.

Less sibilance with the Shure. But Zzounds didn't sound bad at with a little processing. To me, the Shure was a little richer. Not a bad mic, though!!

if you get this mic. DO NOT PAIR IT WITH A PRESONUS STUDIO I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. YOU ARE LOCKED TO ONLY LEFT CHANNEL AUDIO INPUT. i let the sale guy talk me into it by saying it was a better preamp/interface for a better price. that is not the case.
