Union's experimentality and unique storytelling is still very good, people just don't like it. I think the new 1s are a nice refresh of something we have never seen before. I don't hate them at all. Also, you didn't mention that it is a 3-way collab with Chris Gibbs' (owner of Union) wife's brand Bephy's Beauty Supply, hence the "BBS" embroidery on the heel
