Attacking 5-1 defense - Handball Coaching #1

Welcome to my handball chanell. In this handball video series, I will try to give you some basics about handball coaching, tactic
excersises and a lot more handball elements.
I expect, after you watch videos like this one, you will improve your handball skills, rules no matter if you are a player, coach or just
passionate handball lover.

Most of my videos are from handball bundesliga because its a world's handball NBA, right:) Also, I will give a lot of room to woman handball.
Many of you told me, do not cover woman handball, it is slow, unattractive etc, but I think ladies deserved it. And it has its own
passion.

This video covers attacking 5-1 defense. You will see how important role is front defensive player in open defense system like 5-1

Second video covers an interesting double cross action (Fuchse Berlin)

Third video is showing importance of line player in handball, and cooperation between pivot and right back in this case

Forth video is about attacking open defense system 3-2-1 in this case. Thw kiel is well known for playing open defense, and here
is nice example how flensburg handewit managed to break it using 2 pivots

Well it's 5-1 defense, but you've got to adapt the formation to the dynamics of the attacking opponent. I believe it is the mistake of center back, who leaves the playmaker alone.
