I can't wait for the classic Japanese superstition in 100 years: "They say if you get 3 wings of the same shape from KFC on Christmas, it brings good fortune and wards off the evil spirits if you eat them in the correct order"

Fun fact: some people actually have to make their orders over 2 months ahead of time so that they can get it by christmas

We used to get KFC for Christmas. We're Mexican Californians, but there was a KFC across from our church and it was convenient to get a bucket after early Christmas mass.

That really makes me wonder if there’s some reverse weeb who’s really into American stuff and mixes english words into his dialogue with a cowboy accent.

Tradition often starts from the simplest of things, even half-truths, but eventually all grow into something much more.

This reminds me of the pickle in the tree tradition 😂 My kids knew from the beginning the pickle wasn't something that was traditional in Germany but we just love the quirkiness of it. It's also hilarious when others come to our home for Christmas and we shout "FIND THE PICKLE!!" randomly and the kids bolt to the tree 🤣🤣

My favorite thing they do is that the cards they give are all handwritten, it's so cute
