Me my wife and daughter had the a50 for 2 weeks and took them back for the s20. We originally chose the a50 because of the camera and screen size for the price.The software however is horrible. Mine and my daughters would lag just doing simple tasks like opening up settings and my wife's completely locked up and wouldn't turn back on. Just a buyer beware for anybody that's considering the a50. At the end of the day you get what you pay for.

The camera is surely much better, I have a lot of trouble w a50 camera. The a50 has done me very very well for quite some time, but the camera is not amazing. Specifically the ultrawide. It lowers the quality and blurs everything together, increasing the shadows by a shit ton, and will come out unusable in any relatively shadowed area. Its great for taking pics of a lighthouse mid day, but say you take a picture of an evening livingroom where it isnt dark but not beach bright, it'll be fucked haha.

With video its not terrible honestly, you cant lighten the values like you can in picture mode so it is automatically darker as well. Plus, it decently survives up close concert audio and doesnt shred the audio files to pieces when you listen to it qmas much as older phones 😂
Still sharp and loud, and high concert bass audio is crap, but you can survive with it (:
No stabilization though.

Im switching phones purely for the camera! Otherwise, a50 is a great phone.
Dont forget s20 has no headphone jack 🤡

Watching this rn on an A50 and I gotta say... it's definitely better than my dad's A17s Oppo which came out in 2022. So for a budget phone, it's held it's value pretty well over the years. This phone has android 11 now so will probably become outdated when Android 15 comes out later this year (since all the Microsoft apps require the latest 3 or 4 OS).

The Galaxy A50 will get the one ui 2.0 based on android 10 update very soon..and it will get until android 11 because of Samsung gives two major updates for their phone these days

mid range never compare to flagship i belive it in 5 years ago and now when i catch a50 i am sure flagship is insane better then midrange. Bigest fail of a50 is a bad camera and some poor software i am not satisfied
