Sangita Myska debates with this caller who says that she 'breathed a sigh of relief at Rishi Sunak's speech' and believes that Lee Anderson is 'speaking for Jewish people'.

Giving an address outside Downing Street on Friday evening, Mr Sunak said Britain had seen a "shocking increase in extremist disruption and criminality" in recent weeks and months.

Lee Anderson, the former deputy chairman of the Conservatives, has been suspended from the party after claiming that Sadiq Khan and London were controlled by Islamists.

I as Jewish man has faced unspeakable forms of racism by other Jews. Just because I happen to be a dark skin Sephardic Jew of Moroccan descent.

My favourite bit might be “can you imagine if there was a video of a black person doing something bad and everyone brought up their race?”. No, nothing like that ever happens on the internet.

The self-victimization is absolutely mad…

Why does she feel "All jews are frightened for their life" when there are Jews on the Palestinian protests who don't feel threatened surrounded by protesters.

Jews are in the protests. They are protesting about inhumanity in Gaza, not religion..

I don't know what she is saying, 30 000 people buried under dirt cant move anywhere. Their life and possibilities has expired.

The victim complex some of these people have is ridiculous

She is from St Albans which has practically zero street crime. I’ve never heard of someone being scared to walk along the street there

I would think that being a Jew in the UK is leagues safer than being a Palestinian woman or child living in Gaza.

I nearly spat my coffee out when she said she's living in fear in the UK so she's thinking of moving to Israel! 😂

She stated that she is moving to Israel I am assuming that Israel offering her and her family a stolen Palestinians land

she only said one thing correct. "There's a different rule for us, and a different one for the rest of the world".

‘If they were Muslim or black they wouldn’t have been called out…’ really, REALLY?

Wow. I am Jewish too. If you think that you'll be safer moving to a settler state that will be perpetually in a state of war because of the way it has treated the people that lived in Palestine before the mandate and the Shoah then you seriously need to have a word with yourself. If you think that a country that is treating Gaza like the Warsaw Ghetto is the answer then you are asking the wrong question.

How could people take this caller seriously while she herself is being Islamophobic. Playing a victim is no longer selling. Wake up.

the marches have been characterised by an absence of violence. And in the last months every person standing up for the Gazans was forced to state that they abhorred the Hamas attack in October. But Jewish people aren't required to abhor the level of Israeli violence. Though many, very honorably, do so.

Just holding a Palestinian flag is anti-semitic to Claudine.

Living in an echo chamber where you're told everybody hates you might be the problem here.

I'm Jewish. And I was never as uncomfortable as when visiting family in Israel and seeing the checkpoints and hearing how they speak about their neighbors. Atrocity + isolation = a broken, violent culture every single time. US cities. Israel. Whether forced or chosen, letting victims stew in paranoia benefits no one and harms everyone.
