Let’s say Dacia was operating in a tad higher echelon. And let’s say the Renault-owned carmaker would have the clientele base and the know-how to produce an all-electric sports car. What would it look like? Would it be underpinned by the Logan, Dacia’s affordable sedan? Or would it be a nod back to the 1300, a once widely-popular family car that still has its fans to this days?

Well, in Alexandru-Călin Țicărat’s vision, it would be the latter. The Romanian concept artist based most of the Sentry’s design on the 1300, albeit soaked in a modern, even future-y flavor. Basically, what Alexandru did is what Dacia won’t: look at its past and reinterpret it with an eye for the future.

The end result looks darn neat not just by Dacia standards, but also by sports car standard in general.
The proportions are right and the shapes are fluid, a treatment which itself hints at a most-wanted streamlined body and a low aerodynamic coefficient (Cd).

On top of that, you’ve got the Dacia visual identity well baked into the front end, while the rear is honestly the most beautiful design we’ve seen decorating a Dacia since, well, forever.
