i think its the best to have either a hub that is super loud or dead silent. with no in between. just my opinion though

I'm running my road bike on Pro 4's (SCS standard) and they are WAY better than the crappy Specialized (bottom of the range DT Swiss) hubs. Engagement is much quicker (8* compared to 16* for the Spesh hubs). I had a really nice wheel build done using the Hopes and Pacenti SL25 rims. Finished the build off with Robert Axle thru axles and Schwalbe S-Ones. Solid hubs that should last for eons!

The sound is honestly quite annoying after a while. Function is superior to anything I have encountered. I have still not tried Chris King, but that was sort of an active choice, considering the headache of changing bearings with Chris King.

Im new to mountain biking, recently bought a hard tail.. beside the cool sound, is there another reason to upgrade ur hub? Im doin minor upgrades to my bike and i ran in to this video any ideas ? Thanks!

Did you convert it yourself? Cos I’ve got a trek roscoe 9 and the hope pro 4 is the hub that fits and the hub that I want. So I am looking to get one.
