Buying an Old Lightship Loaded with Surprises, Fyrskibet

At Frederiksholms Kanal in Copenhagen, DK, Lene Wiberg Junker and her husband fell in love with an old lightship from 1878. At first, they hired an architect to help them, but quickly found out they had their own ideas about how to transform and renovate the spaces. And with no experience in renovating ships, all kinds of surprises emerged during the 3-year transformation.
Today, they rent out the lightship for various occasions and events.
