Made a show of herself while Kellie-Jay stood dignified.

She literally fell to the ground on her own lol. The police did literally nothing... they just stopped her from going over to the stand. Cringe behaviour from Lidia.

Hardly knocked or pulverised. You can see that as soon as she was grabbed from behind by police to be escorted away she lifts her legs and throws herself on the ground. Shameful.

Just because it's wrapped in my flag does not mean it represents me.

I like to see an intolerant crawling over the grass, screaming..."I have the right to be an intolerant"

She just stopped standing up. Thats not knocked to the ground. Project going to side with someone who was preventing someone elses free speech.

Yes I can see the police review board rewatching this tape laughing their heads off and coming to a correct decision.

It was a women's free speech event, not an "anti-trans rally", for f**** sake. If the senator would have just asked for her turn to speak, like all the other women, she probably would have been given a slot. Personally I would've loved to hear a debate between her and Kellie-Jay.

"Kmocked to the ground" and you wonder why you have declining viewership

The irony of screaming "your not welcome" at a place your clearly not welcome 😂

Not a very dignified way for a federal politician to behave.
I find it very interesting that every mainstream media outlet describes the rally as "anti trans'; when the truth is that it's pro women.
No wonder more and more sane people switch off.

Who would ever have predicted that freedom of speech would be so disregarded by an MP?
Of course, she can protest but not interrupt.

I'm all for diversity but shouldn't we allow people that have different ideas and opinions the right to voice their views? Is n't this the foundation of a democratic society ?

The police did their job to stop conflict. I support the police action as they separated the different groups. The police acted in a professional manner. Aggression has to be controlled. If it was me I am sure I would have been handled in the same way and possibly much stronger handcuffed and taken away. If you are the aggressor and act as a bellend in front of armed police and you do not stop your behaviour. Do not complain as they have the authority to stop you from attacking anyone. No matter what their political beliefs.

She was attacking a woman who had legal permit to speak and the police stopped her. What do you think is going to happen when you attack someone. Kelly Jay is a woman's rights advocate and I support her 100%

My mother always taught me that by and large people do things to themselves - here's proof that is true.

Interesting descriptions of this incident in the various reports I’ve seen. Lydia Thorpe ‘ wrestled ‘ to the ground. ‘ Knocked over ‘, ‘ pulled to the ground ‘ and described by Lydia herself as ‘ pulverised ‘. All fairly predictable stuff, with strategically placed cameras snapping furiously, white Police officers, Lydia's Aboriginal flag shirt. It was all there. It’s well publicised that she is not a fan of Police, but it seems to me that she is possibly not helping her cause. Perhaps coming across as a more responsible respectful member of Parliament might extend her Political career, and if she sticks around long enough, perhaps help the Aboriginal people she represents
