Tilly The Sparrow - Brave Recovery

It was a beautiful sunny Autumn day and Tilly the Sparrow was enjoying the light breeze. She was feeling free until the sudden thud of glass stopped her. She tumbled to the ground, her heart racing, her right wing in tremendous pain. Dazed and scared, Tilly lay still, afraid she'd never fly again. She closed her eyes, trembling. But after a while, the pain eased. She stretched her sore wing, testing it. A sense of calm washed over her as she realized she could move once again. She stood on her shaky legs, wings poised and ready and staring at the sky. She wasn’t flying just yet, but she knew that soon she would see all the Autumn brilliance, once again.
