We just got a new puppy who hasn't responded to what we thought was training, and after a 10 days (and A LOT of tears ) we were getting quite anxious about the behaviours we saw developing. We were "training", but not leading whenever he was out of the crate! I had a rescue dog named Scooter who lived 16 years. He was the best most well behaved (trained) dog we ever had. We now have a 4 month old stubborn non food motivated dog (Tony) who we love but is a real challenge.

We use Through A Dogs Ear. It has worked for my puppy. This has a few classical tunes.

thumbnail says stop letting your puppy do this. with a picture of puppy sleeping on floor. Perhaps i missed it in the video but should you never let your pup fall asleep on the floor? My pup falls asleep on the floor and then I will either get him up and let him go to his crate, or I'll stay there and monitor him on floor. I don't want to be a bad leader should it always be crate sleeping only? Love you guys videos very helpful keep up the great work.

LOL I had a “Scooter” named Rosie who used to dig under the fence and run around the neighborhood for 5 min and come back home to get a treat from me 🤪

Im jumping off at 15;08 as I have had plenty of product promotion, but have not heard you warn people not to leave long lines on their dogs when they are not directly in front of them, and yes there is plenty of people who would do that . And that is a really dangerous thing to do - and how to not injure a dog in how you use that long line safely .

I have 6mo English Springer Spaniel 3hrs min outside and struggle getting her to settle.... thats play walks exploring still recall only works with treats or ignoring she will then come to door.

I wish you responded to comments. I’m very confused about “place”. Once you teach them to go to their bed on the place command and only leave when you say the release word, how is that different then them going to their bed on their own and leaving on their own? Doesn’t that confuse them?

That is my biggest worry with my new puppy, leaving her in the crate while i'm at work
